Data sources and versions
Where the numbers come from, how data releases work, what the verification labels mean and how to report errors.
This is an unofficial community platform. BULKHEAD has not published official numbers for WARDOGS — not for structures, and not for weapons, ammunition or armor. Almost everything here comes from community databases. They can be wrong, and they sometimes disagree with each other.
How much to trust which numbers
- Indirect fire is the solid part. The mortar and howitzer firing tables (range → elevation in mils) are player measurements published under the MIT licence by apollyon-sys/wardogs-calculator (Copyright (c) 2026 Apollyon), together with the map scale of 100 m per coordinate unit. Time of flight, dispersion and blast radius are published nowhere, so the calculator shows them as Unknown instead of inventing them.
- Prices are the best-corroborated game values. Several independent community databases agree on vendor prices, and the Season 1 changelog confirms a few of them officially.
- Damage numbers are the weakest data on this site. Damage in WARDOGS is defined by the round, not the weapon. The per-calibre damage, the 12 hit-zone multipliers and the player health of 100 come from a single community data lineage. One arithmetic cross-check works out (5.56 damage 28 × head 2.35 = 65.8, which matches the head damage another site publishes), but no independent measurement exists. Armor absorption is disputed: one source lists 30/40/55/65 % by level, another claims a flat 60 %. Treat every damage result as a starting point and measure in-game before betting a match on it.
- Several WARDOGS "databases" that rank well in search engines look like automatically generated sites that cite each other rather than the game. Where a value exists only on such a site, it is labelled and usually left Unknown.
Data releases
- All costs, health values and dimensions live in versioned data releases. The current release is
2026.09.1for game version0.11. - Every base stores the data release it was made with, so its original numbers remain reproducible.
- When a base was made with an older release, its page shows an outdated-data warning with the current cost next to the original cost.
Verification labels
Values in the planner carry one of these labels:
- Official: published by the developers.
- Community: from community databases, not officially confirmed.
- Sources differ: community sources disagree. The planner picks one value and lists the alternatives in the notes of that structure; where no single value can be chosen it shows Unknown.
- Estimate: a planner estimate, for example model sizes of emplaced weapons whose in-game dimensions are unknown.
- Unknown: no reliable value found. The planner never invents a number for these.

Each structure, weapon, round and armor page lists the sources used for that entry, and every value carries its own verification label.
Reporting wrong values
- Tell the community where you found the correct value, ideally with a screenshot or patch note. If a published base is broken or misleading, use the Report button on its page.
- Mention the game version you checked the value in.
- Corrections are published as a new data release; existing bases keep their original release until they are updated.
